Tanzania

Sweet Unity Farms is a model of grower-direct coffee marketing, bringing dignity and resources to farmers and joy to coffee lovers.
Twenty years ago, David Robinson, son of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, moved to Tanzania and purchased land for a cooperative coffee farm, in hopes of helping local farmers improve their standard of living.
The New York Times calls Sweet Unity Farms Tanzania “the Cabernet of coffee” because of its winey flavor, full body and the hint of raisins in its aroma. This unique character is the result of blending full bodied coffees from the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro with the bright, winey coffees of the Southern Highlands.
To develop all of the nuances of this unique coffee, we roast our Tanzania blend to a medium Full City color.
